Ok, so I've officially signed up (i.e. given them some monies) for the Elvis is Alive 5K on August 11th here in Chicago. I'll be running (i.e. attempting to keep up with) the lovely Carolyn and it ends with a party and a big Elvis impersonator lineup. It's the only 5K run at night here, and they highly encourage you to dress in head-to-toe Elvis costumes. (The King did sweat a lot, but I don't think he ever ran a 5K while doing it.) I'll be in my TCB hat (if it arrives from eBay in time) and possibly a shirt I picked up in Nashville last spring. No gold lame though. Anyway, if you're reading this, and you're in Chicago (which most of you who read this are) come out out and shout at me like Burgess Meredith while I run run run. yay!

Also, if you're still not sure about the 80108 thing, talk to Mac, 'cause he subscribed and he likes it. Right, Mac? I'm also going to start writing a second channel called "Chicago Culture" next week (8/6) which will deal with theater, art exhibits, classical music, etc. Again, it's 80108.com. Please, sign up.
